The idea of organizing the CET Prague Cup was born at the time when the world was hit by the wave of the Covid pandemic. Riders had limited possibilities to participate in foreign competitions and therefore we decided to organize for Czech and foreign riders outdoor show jumping competitions at the Prague Velká Chuchle racecourse. Due to the great response to the level of the competitions we decided to continue organizing the CET Prague Cup in the next years. Compared to the first year, which was an individual competition, we decided to organize the nations cup. The response to this decision was very positive in the equestrian community and therefore in the autumn of 2022 we decided to apply to host the team qualification for the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. The Czech Equestrian Team was awarded by the FEI to host a team qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics for all countries in Group C and we successfully held this qualification in July 2023.
