The Czech Equestrian Team was established with the idea to promote the development of the equestrian sport in the Czech Republic. Our main objective is to support talented athletes, people and horses as well as to promote equitation among amateur public.
Equestrian sports have been present in the modern history of the Olympics since 1990 when competitions in four disciplines took place in Paris. In addition to show jumping Grand Prix, there were also competitions in polo, high jump and far jump in Paris. Since 1912, horse riding has been represented in the Olympic Games by dressage, show jumping and eventing. In the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam, František Ventura with horse Eliot won the show jumping competition. We want to create such conditions for our riders and horses to allow this unequalled Czech success to be repeated, to have our representatives regularly represent the Czech Republic in equestrian events at the most prestigious equestrian competitions.
