ABOUT US
Czech Equestrian Team was founded in 2013. The main idea behind the foundation was to support Czech riders and to increase the awareness of the Czech public about the equestrian sport. From the very beginning, we have supported promising Czech riders and para-dressage riders, who, thanks to our help, had the opportunity to compete in international competitions and get the necessary experience. We financially support the organizers of both domestic and international competitions, social events promoting the equestrian sport (Equestrian Festival, Czech Jumping Cup, U25 competitions within the CSI3*-W Olomouc, Jan Kutej Memorial), training of style judges, participation of foreign builders in Czech showjumping competitions, construction of a cross-country track in Pardubice and the national attendance of jumping youth. Last but not least, we managed to ensure television broadcasts of the individual Global Champions League and Longines Global Champions Tour meetings on Czech Television and Nova TV.
In 2018, we obtained a license for the Prague Lions team to participate in the prestigious Global Champions series. Thanks to this partnership, we had the opportunity to organize at the O2 Arena in Prague the premiere 1st edition of Prague PlayOffs, an event unprecedented in the equestrian sport, the culmination of the Global Champions series. Thanks to the success of the first edition, we have organized Prague PlayOffs in 2019, 2021, 2022 and the last edition of Prague PlayOffs will take place in November 2023.
In 2020 we organized for the first time an international open-air Nations Cup competition in the Chuchle Arena in Prague, and we repeated the successful event in 2021 and 2022. Thanks to our experience in organizing these very successful events, in the autumn of 2022, we applied for the tender to organize the CSIO4* Nations Cup associated with the Olympic Qualification for participation in the Olympic Games in Prague, and we were awarded the organizing contract by the International Equestrian Federation.
